Some have you have asked for some of my old songs. I have some songs on cassette so I was bringing them over to a digital copy. So I thought I would do a song bio. This is just for fun. Don't take it to serious. Please leave a comment.
I started with piano lessons at 7 years old. I don't think that lasted long. I think my Dad always wanted us to sing as a family like the Speer family. I can remember getting up in front of the Church when I was 5.
I think you will see a theme of a week and a half.
Home was written in the practice rooms at Olivet. I think that out of all the songs I've written... people seem to remember it. It was the first song I had ever written. Both my favorite Grand Mother and Grand Father past away shortly before going to Olivet. I think they where on my mind at that time. It was written for a group but we preformed with GAMA and The Turn. I think this is a fairly old copy... I'm looking for a newer one.
I started at Olivet in 1985. I was at Olivet at least week before most everyone else. I started playing piano in the practice rooms. It was a great way to manage stress and boardem. It was wonderful having a piano where your brothers and sisters wouldn't complain that they couldn't hear the TV. I really hadn't played much.
God and Man Alliance started with Kevin Grose, Randy Stirratt and I. I had purchased a keyboard and about a week and a half later we got a "gig" to play a week long youth retreat. It was rather um raw...but the teens enjoyed it. Pictured is Kevin, our friend Mike and myself. The group later was later became just Kevin and I.
Listen to more songs after the break...
I did a lot of brain storming... or just some jam'n... Here are a few songs.

The Turn started as Rapid Access. Rapid Access started as with Jay Daughtry and I. We later added Roy Nyran and Tim Hackathorn.
We played as far away as Miami (my-am-uh) Oklahoma and Madison Wisconsin. My favorite was playing the youth retreats. It was wonderful to get to know the kids one on one.

Jay and I had gotten to know each other a little better a Manville Camp. He asked me if I wanted to get together and write some music. We later got together in Rockford and started writing. He is an amazing writer. He picked up where I left off.
We where trying to figure out a name... Brain storming...Jay saw "Rapid Access" on something and thought... We have Rapid Access to God through Jesus.

I was managing a music store in Rockford IL. I had a client that knew that I had written songs. He owned a company that wrote love custom love songs for clients. I told him I would be interested in working with him to create a song. A month or so later.. He said that his staff song writer quit. He had a client that needed a song for a wedding in about a week and a half.
I had written and recorded and sent off to them... on time. Yikes. There are some changes I would have mad... but there wasn't time. The couple had both been previously married and she had a daughter that they wanted to include in the wedding.
